Well known as a city of festivals, including the Greek Festival, Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show, Fiesta of Five Flags, Springfest, Pensacola Seafood Festival, jazz Fest, Crawfish Festival, and Christmas in the City. Downtown, The Wall South is a 3/4 scale replica of Washington, D.C.'s Vietnam Veterans Memorial. There's a Historic Pensacola Village, museums, civic and cultural centers, theaters, and more than you can imagine from over 300 years of history.
Did you get an early start? There's plenty more to do. A little farther east, visit National Seashore's Naval Live Oaks' 1378 acres of woodland, virtually untouched by lumberjacks or condo developers, and observe native plants and wildlife that proficed food, medicine, tools, and shelter for native Americans. Visit the Zoo, and see more thatn 700 exotic animals within an area that encompasses fifty acres of botanical gardens.
OK, so it's een a long day. Cruise back home to Perdido Key, take a deep breath, chill out at a local restaurant or pub and then spend the evening in the jacuzzi. In the morning, cross the border into LA (lower alabama). |
